Deck overview

The deck uses Gandalf of the Secret Fire to exile instants and sorceries cast during opponents' turns, giving them suspend and later casting them for free. Its supporting plan is to accelerate with signets, talismans, and Sol Ring, then convert repeated spell casts into cards, tokens, and damage through Archmage Emeritus, Vega, the Watcher, Monastery Mentor, Talrand, Sky Summoner, Young Pyromancer, Fiery Inscription, and Guttersnipe. The engine can become operational around turn 5, but the three-counter delay makes its first meaningful payoff slow. The deck has broad reactive interaction and several commander-enabled protection spells. Its main weakness is access: there are no tutors, no compact deterministic win, and no dependable way to assemble both a payoff and time-counter support. It is a functional casual-to-high-power value deck, not a competitive combo or lock deck.
