Deck overview

This Mardu deck is helmed by Vihaan, Goldwaker, turning an expansive Treasure-generating engine into a lethal combat force. By pairing aggressive Dwarf synergies and persistent token producers like Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, and Smothering Tithe, the deck rapidly stockpiles artifact tokens. Vihaan animates these tokens at combat into 3/3 Assassin creatures with vigilance and haste. Because Vihaan grants vigilance to outlaws, animated Treasures can attack during combat and still be tapped for mana or sacrificed post-combat. This unique interaction fuels explosive secondary plays and triggers aristocrat payoffs like Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Mayhem Devil. Backed by free protective spells such as Flawless Maneuver and Deflecting Swat, alongside efficient removal and mass combat pumps like Shared Animosity and Akroma's Will, the deck reliably establishes a lethal board by Turn 5 and closes the game across a single response cycle.
