Deck overview

This Golgari Elf deck, helmed by High Perfect Morcant, fuses explosive Elf-tribal mana acceleration with a -1/-1 counter synergy engine. The commander's enter-trigger blights each opponent (forcing a -1/-1 counter onto one of their creatures), and his tap-three-Elves ability proliferates those counters across the table. The deck converts counters into overwhelming value: Flourishing Defenses turns every counter into an Elf token (which re-triggers Morcant's blight), Necroskitter steals creatures that die with counters, and Blowfly Infestation chains the decay. Beneath the grind plan sits a clean combo core: Umbral Mantle on a big mana dork like Marwyn, the Nurturer or Elvish Archdruid generates infinite mana, and Devoted Druid plus Flourishing Defenses loops infinite Elf tokens. Finale of Devastation converts infinite mana into a hasted, pumped lethal swing, while Lathril, Blade of the Elves and Overrun offer combat fallbacks.
