Zurgo Stormrender leads a Mardu token swarm that attacks, sacrifices, and drains. The primary plan is to flood the board with Mobilize tokens, attack every turn to trigger Zurgo's draw ability, then convert token deaths and attack triggers into life loss via Elas il-Kor, Venerated Stormsinger, Syr Konrad, and Brutal Hordechief. Secondary paths are a wide go-wide beatdown plan with Cathars' Crusade and Coat of Arms, and a small extra-combat package with Aurelia, the Warleader. Zurgo is both token maker and card advantage engine; Zurgo, Thunder's Decree in the 99 is a support legend rather than a true hidden commander.
