Deck overview

This Golgari deck is commanded by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, functioning as a hybrid token swarm and aristocrats combo engine. The deck's primary game plan revolves around generating non-Squirrel tokens (Treasures, Foods, Clues, and utility creature tokens), which Chatterfang immediately doubles into 1/1 green Squirrels. These tokens serve a dual role: providing fodder for Chatterfang's targeted creature removal and feeding aristocrats drain engines like Bastion of Remembrance and Zulaport Cutthroat. The deck accelerates rapidly using low-cost ramp and mana converters like Jaheira, Friend of the Forest and Pitiless Plunderer. Its primary win condition leverages the two-card infinite combo of Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest, generating infinite Squirrel tokens on an opponent's end step to swing for lethal on the following turn, with backup win lines provided by Beastmaster Ascension and mass token drain.
