Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu combat-cheat strategy piloted by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary objective is deploying Kaalia on turn 3 or 4, granting her haste or protection, and attacking to put game-ending Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. This bypasses hefty mana costs and normal counterspells. Key payoffs include Master of Cruelties for sudden player eliminations, Avacyn, Angel of Hope for sweeping board protection, and Archfiend of Despair for exponential damage amplification. The deck supports this aggressive core with targeted spot removal, asymmetric stax creatures like Archfiend of Depravity and Angelic Arbiter, and defensive tools like Lightning Greaves and Mother of Runes. While the deck exerts rapid single-target lethality and possesses immense combat power, it is heavily reliant on its commander and faces tempo friction from enter-the-battlefield tapped lands.
