Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis midrange and reanimator strategy piloted by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It leverages Sauron's resilient Ward protection and passive Orc Army amassing to establish commanding board presence early. Once Sauron and an Army are deployed on Turn 5, combat connections trigger the Ring tempts mechanic, turning Sauron into a repeatable draw engine that discards spent hands to draw four fresh cards. This churn fuels the graveyard with powerful creatures such as Archfiend of Ifnir, Cavern-Hoard Dragon, and The Balrog of Moria, which are promptly reanimated via Reanimate, Victimize, and Rise of the Dark Realms.
