Deck overview

This Orzhov deck is commanded by King of the Oathbreakers, blending an Equipment Voltron strategy with a resilient Spirit token engine. The commander possesses a unique built-in defensive trigger: whenever it or another Spirit becomes the target of a spell, it phases out and returns on your next turn with a 1/1 flying Spirit token. This makes targeted spot removal completely ineffective against your commander and attached gear. The deck leverages premier white equipment support like Stoneforge Mystic, Puresteel Paladin, Sigarda's Aid, and Forge Anew to quickly tutor, cheat, and equip lethal armaments such as Colossus Hammer, Fireshrieker, and Loxodon Warhammer. While the primary victory route relies on sequential commander damage and flying token swarms, robust defensive tech like Guardian of Faith, Galadriel's Dismissal, and Eerie Interlude protects against sweepers. Although vulnerable to fast non-combat combos, the deck provides high resilience and consistent combat pressure.
