Commander: Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Yarus, Roar of the Old Gods is a Gruul face-down deck that floods the battlefield with disguised, manifest, and cloaked 2/2s, then turns them face up for cascading value. Yarus is the command-zone engine: he gives every other face-down creature haste, draws cards on combat damage, and returns face-down permanents that die. The primary plan is a wide colorless assault backed by cost reducers and flip payoffs; secondary routes use Yedora and Goblin Bombardment recursion or a pumped high-power morph. The commander has only one face, so there is no hidden commander to build around; the deck is fully designed around Yarus.
