Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Magnificent leads a mono-red Treasure dragon deck. The primary plan is to land Smaug early, multiply Treasures with Xorn, Goldspan Dragon, Magda Brazen Outlaw, and Professional Face-Breaker, then convert the Treasure count into lethal Smaug attack triggers. Extra-combat effects (Full Throttle, Hellkite Charger, Scourge of the Throne) and damage multipliers (Twinflame Tyrant, City on Fire) turn one combat step into a table kill. The main alt win is Hellkite Tyrant's twenty-artifact upkeep trigger, tutored by Magda or Inventors' Fair. There is no hidden second commander; Smaug the Magnificent is the only commander, and the deck is built to use his haste/attack trigger as its primary finisher.
