Marneus Calgar Tokens Value by DonjonTartine

Format: Commander

Commander: Marneus Calgar

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Marneus Calgar is a token-and-draw engine: every token created draws a card, so the deck floods the board with tokens, cards, and Treasure. It usually wins by assembling an artifact-token loop-Ashnod's Altar or Phyrexian Altar plus Pitiless Plunderer plus Stridehangar Automaton and any creature-producing infinite Thopters and Treasures, then draining everyone with Zulaport Cutthroat or Mirkwood Bats. Mondrak, Exalted Sunborn, and Smothering Tithe multiply tokens. A secondary line kills with overwhelming Commander-assisted token combat under Elesh Norn or Grand Crescendo. The mana base is fast but nonbasic-heavy, relying on counters and bounce to survive Blood Moon-style hate.
