Commander: Toph, the First Metalbender

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Toph, the First Metalbender leads a landfall-matters beatdown deck built around earthbending. The primary plan is to accelerate mana, make lands into hasty creatures with +1/+1 counters, and then use Bumi and Moraug to generate multiple combat steps. Landfall engines like Avenger of Zendikar, Tireless Tracker, and Valakut Exploration convert each land drop into cards, tokens, or damage. Toph's static also turns noncreature artifacts into lands, which enables extra ramp and landfall chains with Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Spelunking. The deck is not commander-dependent; the other earthbend legendaries act as hidden lieutenants. It wins by overwhelming combat or landfall burn rather than combo; speed is moderate but resilient recursion keeps the plan going.
