Protection is bliss by 3m6ooxws

Format: Commander

Commander: Thrun, Breaker of Silence

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Thrun, Breaker of Silence is more a resilient hexproof beater than the engine of this mono-green deck; the hidden commander is Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, which turns the creature base into Forest lands. The deck ramps aggressively with one- and two-mana Elves and land auras, then assembles an infinite-mana engine: Ashaya plus Argothian Elder plus Wirewood Lodge plus a mana dork, or the Staff of Domination / Umbral Mantle package. Stax such as Winter Orb, Static Orb, Root Maze, Collector Ouphe, and Karn slow opponents while dorks and Ashaya-lands break parity. Wins come from Walking Ballista, Staff-assisted draw chains into Ballista, an Ezuri overrun, or Thrun/Kogla/Rhonas combat. Thrun is optional pressure, not a combo requirement.
