Deck overview

Betor, Ancestor's Voice leads an Abzan midrange deck designed to leverage life total swings into board presence, +1/+1 counters, and graveyard recursion. The game plan focuses on establishing early ramp and card flow engines like Black Market Connections before casting Betor on Turn 4. From there, lifegain triggers pump attacking creatures while deliberate life loss enables Betor to repeatedly reanimate low-cost creatures from the graveyard. By Turn 6, the deck applies severe pressure with massive flying lifelinkers such as Archangel of Thune, Lyra Dawnbringer, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, or threatens direct table kills via drain loops with Exquisite Blood and Sanguine Bond. Backed by powerful mass recursion such as Eerie Ultimatum, the deck recovers swiftly from removal and grinds down opponents through steady combat and life drain.
