Deck overview

This deck is a high-power aggressive combat-cheat build centered around Kaalia of the Vast. The core game plan focuses on casting Kaalia ahead of curve on Turn 3 or 4, granting her haste through equipment or enchantments, and attacking to cheat massive Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. Payoffs range from lethal single-target combinations like Master of Cruelties to asymmetric board locks like Angelic Arbiter, Archfiend of Depravity, and Avacyn, Angel of Hope. To safeguard this creature-centric strategy, the deck utilizes a robust turn-protection suite featuring Grand Abolisher, Voice of Victory, and Silence alongside spot protection spells. While highly explosive in combat damage and capable of eliminating tables by Turn 6, the deck is reliant on keeping Kaalia alive to bypass high casting costs and can struggle if subjected to repeated targeted commander removal before combat steps.
