Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord leads a Grixis midrange deck focused on Army tokens and Ring tempt triggers. The strategy builds board presence passively whenever opponents cast spells, growing a formidable Orc Army. Connecting with an Army tempts you with the Ring, allowing you to discard your hand and draw four fresh cards each turn to out-value the table. You control the battlefield through targeted removal, sweepers like Widespread Brutality, and theft effects. The deck wins by overrunning opponents with an unblockable or evasive Army via Rogue's Passage and Wonder, taking extra combats with Scourge of the Throne, or resolving Assault on Osgiliath.
