Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black aristocrats and graveyard control build led by Syr Konrad, the Grim. The primary game plan centers on deploying Konrad to convert creature deaths, discards, self-mill, and graveyard recursion into table-wide direct damage. Supported by 37 basic Swamps and low-curve utility creatures, the deck steadily establishes mana, fills graveyards with Mire Triton, Buried Alive, and Konrad's activated ability, and controls the board using efficient spot removal and sweepers. As creatures die and libraries empty, Konrad drains all three opponents simultaneously. Game-ending bursts come from mass-mill and reanimation effects like Breach the Multiverse or synchronized board wipes like Deadly Tempest and Rankle's Prank. While the deck features strong recursion and redundant sacrifice outlets, its reliance on an unprotected 5-mana commander and limited stack interaction makes careful timing of removal and protection essential.
