Format: Commander

Commander: Darien, King of Kjeldor

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-white token swarm deck built around Darien, King of Kjeldor's ability to turn incoming damage into an army of 1/1 Soldier tokens. The primary game plan is to damage yourself deliberately-using pain lands, Ancient Tomb, Blasting Station, and cards like Jinxed Idol-then profit from the resulting token flood. Life-gain triggers from the Soul Warden family and token doublers such as Anointed Procession and Mondrak, Glory Dominus turn each point of self-inflicted damage into a massive board presence. The deck wins through combat (Akroma's Will, Cathars' Crusade, Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite) or the infinite damage combo with Blasting Station. Aetherflux Reservoir provides an alternative life-based kill.
