Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger strategy centered around Shiko and Narset, Unified. The game plan revolves around accelerating in the early turns with low-cost mana rocks and cantrips, casting the commander on Turn 3 or 4, and systematically triggering the Flurry mechanic by casting two spells each turn. Duplicating single-target removal, cantrips, and token-generating spells generates compounding resource advantages. The win condition builds through wide creature token swarms generated by Monastery Mentor, Third Path Iconoclast, Young Pyromancer, and Eris, Roar of the Storm, which rapidly grow via prowess triggers during multi-spell turns. Secondary reach is provided by direct burn from Guttersnipe, Caldera Pyremaw, and Niv-Mizzet, Parun. With efficient interaction and stack protection from Samut, Tyrant of Naktamun and Lier, Disciple of the Drowned, the deck controls opposing threats while assembling a lethal combat finish by Turn 8.
