Frostbound by Castievanialord

Format: Commander

Commander: Hylda of the Icy Crown

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Hylda of the Icy Crown leads a snow-flavored Azorius control deck that turns every tapped opposing creature into 4/4 Elementals, mass +1/+1 counters, or card draw. The shell combines instant-speed tap effects, flash threats, and free counterspells with a snow subtheme that can produce Marit Lage and large flyers such as Rimefeather Owl and Icebreaker Kraken. In practice the deck wins through incremental board advantage: lock down blockers, swing with a growing army, and protect Hylda with Vexilus Praetor and Flawless Maneuver. It is resilient to single threats and interacts heavily, but it lacks a compact combo and can be slowed by board wipes or enchantment-based hate.
