Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red Sneak Attack strategy commanded by Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded. The primary game plan focuses on establishing a solid mana base on Turns 1 through 4, deploying Purphoros on Turn 4 or 5, and immediately using his activated ability to cheat game-ending red and artifact creatures onto the battlefield with haste. Beaters such as Galactus, Devourer of Worlds, Krang, Utrom Warlord, and Etali, Primal Storm deliver immediate combat pressure and devastating enter-the-battlefield triggers. To maximize value before the end-step sacrifice trigger, the deck utilizes Conjurer's Closet to permanently keep cheated threats, Raphael, the Nightwatcher to grant universal double strike, and Combat Celebrant to chain combat steps. As the game transitions into the mid-to-late turns, burst mana generators like Mana Geyser and Brass's Bounty fuel overwhelming burn finishers such as Crackle with Power, Insurrection, and Chandra's Ignition to close out remaining opponents around Turn 7.
