Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan combo-stax strategy centered on Tayam, Luminous Enigma. It uses low-mana creatures to generate mana, counters, and early board presence. Disruptive creatures like Phyrexian Censor, Spirit of the Labyrinth, and Aven Mindcensor slow down faster opponents while you assemble engine pieces. Tayam utilizes vigilance counters, +1/+1 counters, and -1/-1 counters to repeatedly mill cards and reanimate permanents with mana value 3 or less. The primary win conditions are infinite mana and counter loops, most notably Devoted Druid engine lines or Basking Broodscale paired with Rosie Cotton of South Lane. Once an infinite loop is established, Tayam mills the entire library and reanimates Moonglove Extract repeatedly to deal lethal direct damage to the entire table in a single turn.
