Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir flash tempo and tribal control strategy commanded by Alela, Cunning Conqueror. It leverages low-cost mana rocks to deploy Alela ahead of curve, then transitions into an instant-speed playstyle. By holding up mana on opponents' turns, every counterspell, removal spell, or flash creature triggers Alela to build an evasive Faerie Rogue army at zero extra mana cost. In combat, flying Faeries connect to goad high-threat opposing creatures, forcing opponents to attack one another while keeping life totals safe. Value engines like Bident of Thassa, Talion, the Kindly Lord, and Voracious Tome-Skimmer ensure a steady stream of fresh cards. As the Faerie count grows, tribal lords such as Glen Elendra Liege and Scion of Oona turn the swarm into a lethal combat clock, while spells like Notorious Throng and Cyclonic Rift provide decisive finishing power to close out the game.
