Thras/kodama by Redmage40

Format: Commander

Commander: Kodama of the East Tree and Thrasios, Triton Hero

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Simic landfall/combo deck built around the partner pair of Thrasios, Triton Hero and Kodama of the East Tree. The early game is dedicated to ramping with extra land effects like Exploration, Burgeoning, Oracle of Mul Daya, and Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, while Thrasios, Triton Hero smooths draws and turns spare mana into cards. The primary win is a Kodama loop: create a second copy of Kodama of the East Tree with one of the deck's clone effects, loop a bounce land like Guildless Commons for infinite landfall, and convert that into drawing the deck via Tatyova, Benthic Druid or infinite mana via Lotus Cobra, ending with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac. Backup plans include Dark Depths plus Thespian's Stage into a 20/20 indestructible token, and large landfall boards from Scute Swarm and Field of the Dead.
