Deck overview

This mono-black deck combines aristocrats sacrifice loops with brutal life-halving punisher effects. Led by Alpharael, Stonechosen, the primary strategy is to pair combat life-reduction triggers with life-loss doublers to eliminate opponents in single strikes. Early turns focus on deploying recurring sacrifice fodder such as Bloodghast, Reassembling Skeleton, and Ophiomancer. These creatures trigger Void for Alpharael, fuel card draw engines like Vampiric Rites, and feed stax pieces like Braids, Cabal Minion. Once Alpharael, Stonechosen enters the battlefield on Turn 5, it threatens massive life loss starting on Turn 6. When backed by Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Wound Reflection, or Archfiend of Despair, a single unblocked attack turns into a one-hit knockout. Redundant life-halvers like Virtus the Veiled, Unstoppable Slasher, and Quietus Spike ensure the deck can close games even if the commander is removed.
