Deck overview

This is a Gruul "modified matters" deck helmed by Chishiro, the Shattered Blade, built to flood the board with 2/2 Spirit tokens while pumping every modified creature with +1/+1 counters at each end step. The primary game plan is to deploy a dense package of Auras and Equipment - 18 pieces plus Smoke Spirits' Aid token Auras - to trigger Chishiro's token generation, then win through overwhelming combat damage. The deck accelerates its clock with extra combat steps from Akki Battle Squad and Godo, Bandit Warlord, and features explosive finishers in Kosei, Penitent Warlord and Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor. Backup token and counter engines like Barret, Avalanche Leader, Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin, and Grumgully, the Generous keep the plan functional even when the commander is answered.
