Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Dimir Ninja burn deck commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary strategy focuses on deploying cheap, evasive 1-drop creatures on Turn 1 to enable Commander ninjutsu on Turn 2. Because Commander ninjutsu is an activated ability that operates from the command zone, Yuriko consistently bypasses both commander tax and standard spell countermagic. Once attacking Ninjas connect with opponents, Yuriko reveals the top card of the library, adding it to hand while dealing its total mana value in direct life loss to each opponent simultaneously. The deck maximizes this burn output by utilizing high-mana split cards such as Rags // Riches and Connive // Concoct, which offer high revealed mana values while retaining cheap, practical casting costs. Supported by topdeck manipulation like Brainstorm and efficient disruption, the deck steadily burns down the entire table in synchronized fashion.
