$100 Morcant - Elfball with Teeth 😬

Format: Commander

Commander: High Perfect Morcant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elf-ball deck built around High Perfect Morcant as a trigger-and-proliferate engine. Every Elf that enters the battlefield forces opponents to spread -1/-1 counters, and the commander's tap-three-Elves ability turns poison counters into a repeatable, table-wide clock. The deck floods the board with cheap Elves and token generators such as Elvish Warmaster, Lys Alana Huntmaster, and Imperious Perfect, while draw engines like Beast Whisperer and Leaf-Crowned Visionary keep the chain going. The marquee win is Flourishing Defenses: combined with Morcant, any Elf, and at least one poison counter on each opponent, it generates an arbitrarily large Elf army, which then converts through Morcant's proliferate or Lathril, Blade of the Elves activations. Backup kill channels include a Temur Sabertooth + Hyrax Tower Scout infinite-mana loop and a straightforward combat kill from a critical mass of lord-buffed Elves.
