Deck overview

Ultima, Origin of Oblivion commands an oppressive colorless ramp deck designed to accelerate rapidly into game-ending Eldrazi titans and asymmetric stax locks. The deck leverages fast colorless mana sources, Urza lands, cost reducers, and mana doublers like Forsaken Monument and Ultima, Origin of Oblivion to generate massive mana reserves by Turn 4. Once established, the primary plan deploys crushing threats such as Void Winnower, Portal to Phyrexia, and Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, crippling opponents' resources while establishing insurmountable board dominance. In addition to overwhelming combat damage through Annihilator triggers, the deck incorporates a compact two-card infinite mana combo featuring Basalt Monolith and Forsaken Monument, which instantly wins through Walking Ballista or Staff of Domination. Heavy shielding from Defense Grid, Cavern of Souls, and Not of This World protects key plays, ensuring the engine consistently closes games by Turn 7.
