Deck overview

This deck is a mono-blue combo-control strategy commanded by Orvar, the All-Form. The primary game plan revolves around leveraging cheap, single-target instants and sorceries—particularly those with buyback like Whim of Volrath and Clockspinning—to duplicate lands, mana rocks, and value creatures. Once Orvar is established on Turn 4, the deck quickly pivots into mana-positive loops using untap creatures like Peregrine Drake or Cloud of Faeries. Infinite mana fuels instant-speed win conditions by repeatedly cloning Sunscorched Desert for table-wide damage, casting a lethal Brain Freeze, or drawing into Thassa's Oracle. The deck backs up this proactive engine with efficient interaction, including Counterspell, Tishana's Tidebinder, and the asymmetric creature hate of Cursed Totem, while retaining independent backup routes through Naru Meha, Master Wizard and Displacer Kitten flicker loops.
