Commander: Gev, Scaled Scorch

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Gev, Scaled Scorch is the tribal engine, not a one-card finisher. The primary plan is to ping opponents with cheap lizards and enchantment burn while Gev turns every Lizard spell into bonus damage and makes every other creature enter with an extra +1/+1 counter. Those counters make modified board states for Thundering Raiju and Lasting Tarflare, while multipliers such as Torbran, Fiery Emancipation, and Collective Inferno turn small pings into lethal sweeps. The secondary path is combat beatdown using Menace, Cover of Darkness, Rogue's Passage, and trample. There is no hidden commander; Vial Smasher and Far Fortune are strong value cards in the 99, not the deck's core direction.
