Deck overview

This mono-white deck harnesses Gandalf the White to turn historic cards into an overwhelming mid-range value engine. Gandalf grants flash to artifacts and legendary spells while doubling all entering and leaving triggers from those permanent types. The primary game plan develops early ramp and cantrip artifacts like Ichor Wellspring, establishes legendary utility creatures, and flashes in Gandalf to double card draw and mana generation. From there, the deck breaks board symmetry using Urza's Ruinous Blast or Avatar's Wrath, stabilizes behind defensive taxes, and closes games through lethal combat using resilient threats such as Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Ao, the Dawn Sky, and an overgrown Yoshimaru.
