Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Landfall strategy built around Omnath, Locus of Rage. It leverages efficient two-mana ramp and land-acceleration engines like Azusa, Lost but Seeking and Dryad of the Ilysian Grove to reach seven mana by Turn 5. Once Omnath enters the battlefield, every subsequent land drop generates a 5/5 Elemental token, creating wide boards with built-in board wipe insurance via Omnath's three-damage death triggers. Card draw engines like Elemental Bond and Greater Good convert these 5/5 tokens into massive hand refills. The deck finishes games on Turn 7 by attacking with trample and haste via Garruk's Uprising and Akroma's Memorial, taking extra combats with Moraug, Fury of Akoum, or sacrificing tokens to Goblin Bombardment and triggering Purphoros, God of the Forge and Terror of the Peaks for direct damage.
