Deck overview

This Golgari deck is led by Long Feng, Grand Secretariat and combines +1/+1 counter mechanics, earthbending land animation, and traditional aristocrat sacrifice strategies. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient mana dorks and land ramp spells before deploying its commander. By turning lands into temporary 0/0 creatures with +1/+1 counters using earthbend cards, it creates a self-replenishing resource loop: when these land creatures die, they return to the battlefield tapped while triggering Long Feng to place +1/+1 counters on other threats. Sacrifice outlets like Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar fuel repeated death triggers, which drain opponents through Bastion of Remembrance and Blood Artist. Combat pressure scales rapidly using power-doublers and trample enablers like Badgermole, Mossborn Hydra, and Garruk's Uprising, with Rise of the Dark Realms offering a decisive late-game finish.
