Commander: Don Andres, the Renegade

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Don Andres, the Renegade fronts a Grixis theft-and-Pirate deck that wins by borrowing opponents' cards and attacking with them. The primary plan is to land a cheap theft engine such as Grenzo or Gonti, attack to exile/cast cards you do not own, and turn those stolen resources into Treasures and Pirate bodies. Don Andres is the payoff: stolen creatures get +2/+2, Menace, Deathtouch, and the Pirate type, while stolen noncreature spells make Treasures. Secondary paths are Pirate tribal with Malcolm, Breeches, and Admiral Beckett Brass, and a late-game Insurrection blowout. There is no transformed commander; Tasha, the Witch Queen acts as a secondary, hidden-style payoff in the 99.
