Gisela, Blade of Goldnight (Update) by Hybridfenyx

Format: Commander

Commander: Gisela, Blade of Goldnight

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Gisela, Blade of Goldnight is a Boros angel midrange deck built around damage doubling. The primary plan is to develop with mana rocks and Angel cost reducers, land Gisela by turn 4-5, then convert her doubling effect into a one-turn kill with Heartless Hidetsugu or an extra-combat alpha strike with Aurelia, the Warleader. Secondary paths are Angel beatdown with lifegain payoffs (Righteous Valkyrie, Bishop of Wings, Resplendent Angel, Luminarch Ascension) and a slow meld plan into Brisela with Gisela, the Broken Blade plus Bruna, the Fading Light. A Sunforger package provides removal and protection. The commander is the deck's engine and finisher; if she is kept offline, the deck becomes ordinary angel tribal.
