Double Back Again by user3272266

Format: Commander

Commander: Aurelia, the Warleader

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Boros angel beatdown deck built to exploit Aurelia, the Warleader's extra-combat trigger. The plan is straightforward: develop mana, deploy evasive angels and life-gain synergies, then cast Aurelia - her haste means she attacks the turn she arrives, untaps the team, and creates a second combat phase every turn. Those doubled attack steps are multiplied further by Gratuitous Violence, double-strike equipment like Leyline Axe and Fireshrieker, and angel anthems from Lyra Dawnbringer and Angel of Invention. Incidental lifegain turns on Exemplar of Light, Angel of Vitality, and Leyline of Hope, converting defense into cards and stats. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins by grinding out two evasive combat phases per turn until three opponents are dead.
