Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is a high-octane extra-combat and sacrifice combo engine helmed by Ares, God of War. The primary game plan is to generate explosive mana through rituals and treasure producers, then chain multiple combat phases using cards like Aggravated Assault, Combat Celebrant, and Port Razer to overwhelm opponents with repeated attacks. Ares himself acts as a recursion engine, returning attacking creatures that die to hand, enabling value loops and protecting key pieces. The deck also packs compact infinite combos such as Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker + Zealous Conscripts and Mikaeus, the Unhallowed + a sacrifice outlet + a non-Human creature. Graveyard recursion via Underworld Breach, Living Death, and Reanimate provides resilience, while Bolas's Citadel and Sensei's Divining Top offer card advantage. The deck aims to win through combat damage in a single explosive turn, often by turn 5.
