Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir battlecruiser strategy built around Marvo, Deep Operative. The primary game plan revolves around manipulating the top of the library with low-cost scry, surveil, and ordering spells such as Diabolic Vision, Curate, and Portent to consistently win clashes. Once Marvo attacks on Turn 6, it triggers a clash that draws a card and allows the player to cheat an 8-mana bomb into play for free. Payoffs include devastating sea monsters and enchantments like Stormtide Leviathan, Hullbreaker Horror, One with the Multiverse, and Sphinx of the Second Sun. Because the deck runs minimal ramp, it depends heavily on hitting land drops reliably and protecting Marvo during combat. Once Marvo establishes a presence, cascading high-mana threats and board wipes overwhelm opponents across multiple combat steps.
