Deck overview

This Grixis Spellslinger deck is commanded by Fire Lord Azula, focusing on converting combat steps into explosive, spell-doubling storm turns. Azula provides two free red mana whenever she attacks and copies every spell cast while she is attacking. The deck leverages flash enablers like Leyline of Anticipation, High Fae Trickster, and Valley Floodcaller alongside instant-speed card draw and rituals to turn declare-attackers steps into game-ending phases. Once Azula attacks, spells like Big Score, Seething Song, and Mana Geyser generate massive mana and card advantages that culminate in copied lethal finishers such as Crackle with Power, Torment of Hailfire, or Exsanguinate. Dense free interaction and redirection spells protect Azula during vulnerable attack steps, while redundant creature engines like Storm-Kiln Artist and Veyran, Voice of Duality ensure the deck can win even without its commander.
