Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Rakdos kindred aggro-burn strategy led by Gev, Scaled Scorch. The primary game plan revolves around casting cheap Lizards and triggering life loss each turn to exploit Gev's ability, which distributes +1/+1 counters to entering creatures. This aggressive foundation is complemented by continuous noncombat pingers like Iridescent Vinelasher, Hired Claw, and Impact Tremors. In the midgame, the deck scales its board presence into a lethal threat using damage doublers and tribal amplifiers like Valley Flamecaller, Valley Rotcaller, Dictate of the Twin Gods, and Fiery Emancipation. Card advantage is maintained through efficient impulse draw engines like Fireglass Mentor and Theater of Horrors. While the deck features strong resilience through redirection spells and built-in Ward protection on the commander, it relies heavily on creature-based combat and burn, remaining vulnerable to mass creature exile and heavy stax effects.
