Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger and tribal aggro strategy commanded by Gandalf, Party Guest. The plan centers on developing efficient legendary Wizards such as Adeliz, the Cinder Wind, Balmor, Battlemage Captain, and Raff, Weatherlight Stalwart, then deploying Gandalf to cast powerful instants and sorceries for free at the beginning of combat. Free spellcasts trigger team-wide power buffs, evasion, and steady card draw while keeping lands untapped for interaction. The deck works toward a critical combat window on turn 6, using cards like Akroma's Will or Bond of Discipline to push through lethal damage across successive turns. While the deck boasts explosive combat burst and resilient recursion engines like Valkyrie's Call, it lacks traditional counterspells and dedicated spell tutors, making it reliant on drawing into key finishers naturally and protecting its board from sweepers.
