Deck overview

This mono-red spellslinger deck centers on Ashling, Flame Dancer, using her magecraft ability to cycle through the library, clear opposing creatures, and generate explosive bursts of red mana. By pairing low-cost cantrips and rituals with cost-reducers and spell-duplicators, the deck rapidly digs toward powerful storm payoffs. Once the engine is assembled on Turn 4, it leverages cards like Underworld Breach, Past in Flames, and Storm-Kiln Artist to cast dozens of spells in a single turn. Win conditions include burning the table with Aetherflux Reservoir, Crackle with Power, Grapeshot, or passive pingers such as Guttersnipe and Fiery Inscription. Defensively, the list relies on free redirection spells like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend to protect Ashling from targeted removal while disrupting opposing interactions.
