Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Mono-Black Aristocrats and Voltron list commanded by Super Shredder. The game plan revolves around exploiting Super Shredder's trigger, which grants a +1/+1 counter whenever any permanent leaves the battlefield—including opponent creatures sacrificed to edicts, cracked Treasures, and sacrificed tokens. The deck accelerates in the opening turns, drops Super Shredder, and deploys recursive engines such as Ophiomancer, Warren Soultrader, and Skullclamp. It suppresses opposing boards through repeated symmetrical sacrifice pieces like Accursed Marauder and Grave Pact while shielding its commander with Commander's Plate, Brotherhood Regalia, and Swiftfoot Boots. As Super Shredder balloons in size, it eliminates opponents with unblockable commander damage, supported by backup table-wide drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Torment of Hailfire, and Bloodletter of Aclazotz.
