Lord of Avarice by JordyLaForge

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable commands a Rakdos deck built around turning noncombat damage into overwhelming mana and direct life loss. Smaug is an indestructible, hasty flyer that generates a Treasure token for each point of noncombat damage it receives. The deck accelerates mana using treasure producers and mana rocks to deploy Smaug or redirect creatures like Brash Taunter and Barbed Servitor. Damaging these creatures with cards like Pyrohemia, Blasphemous Act, or Chandra's Ignition generates massive Treasure reserves and lethal damage reflections. The primary win conditions include loop combos with Pyrohemia and Mayhem Devil, artifact burn triggers from Mirkwood Bats and Reckless Fireweaver, and alternate victory triggers from Revel in Riches or Hellkite Tyrant.
