Azula by Wolverine0870

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The deck is built around Fire Lord Azula, a three-color (UBR) commander that generates mana on attack via firebending 2 and copies each spell cast while she is attacking. The primary strategy is to deploy Azula early, attack to produce red mana, then chain instants and sorceries-particularly Lesson spells and magecraft payofs-building a board of tokens and using repeated triggers to overwhelm opponents. The deck leans on Sozin's Comet and Warstorm Surge as force-multipliers, with Ashling, Flame Dancer and Veyran, Voice of Duality rewarding spell loops. Secondary win consitions include direct damage from Unleash Shell and commander damage from Oazi, the Phoenix King. The plan is tempo-driven but lacks a tight infinite combo, relying on incremental advantage and combat inevitablity.
