Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive Mono-Green Stompy strategy centered on Ghalta, Primal Hunger. By leveraging efficient 1-mana ramp into aggressively statted 3-mana creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion and Pugnacious Hammerskull, the deck amasses 10 or more power early, reducing Ghalta's casting cost to just {G}{G} by Turn 4. Once deployed, the deck converts high creature power into massive card advantage through engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise, continuously replenishing its hand while developing an overwhelming battlefield presence. Critical onset begins on Turn 5, where Ghalta's 12/12 trample body and supporting beaters threaten sequential player eliminations, rapidly accelerated by force multipliers like Unnatural Growth and Overwhelming Stampede. While the deck features robust engine redundancy and rapid recovery through independent high-power threats, its reliance on maintaining a wide creature board leaves it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes and mass bounce spells.
