Deck overview

The deck uses Lathliss, Dragon Queen to turn every nontoken Dragon into an additional 5/5 flyer, then amplifies each entry with Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, or Warstorm Surge. Its early turns develop Mountains, Sol Ring, mana rocks, and Dragon cost reducers. The main operating checkpoint is Lathliss, Dragon Queen plus Dragon Tempest and a large Dragon, usually around turn 7. The first decisive threat normally arrives around turn 8 when Scourge of Valkas or another high-impact Dragon creates several damage triggers and a growing flying board. Utvara Hellkite, Terror of Mount Velus, Drakuseth, Maw of Flames, and Tyrant's Familiar convert that board into lethal combat pressure. The deck has useful removal and some card selection, but limited protection, little proactive disruption, and a high curve. Its strongest draws can finish around turn 10, while disrupted or tutor-poor draws take longer.
