Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis +1/+1-counter sacrifice deck built around Marchesa, the Black Rose. There is no hidden commander; she is both the counter engine and the recursion engine: dethrone puts counters on attackers, and her death trigger returns anything that died with a counter at the next end step. The main route is grinding card advantage through ETB creatures and sacrifice outlets while Mayhem Devil, Agent of the Iron Throne, and Flayer of the Hatebound convert those deaths into damage. The secondary route is a compact infinite loop: Metallic Mimic plus Murderous Redcap plus a sacrifice outlet. The deck also has a steal-and-sacrifice axis with Cytoplast Manipulator, Simic Manipulator, and Mob Rule.
