Deck overview

Betor, Ancestor's Voice leads an Abzan lifegain and reanimation midrange deck designed to turn life total manipulation into overwhelming board presence. The deck uses low-cost mana dorks and land ramp to cast Betor by Turn 4. Once operational, Betor converts lifegain into massive +1/+1 counters while converting life lost into free creature reanimation every end step. Dense functional redundancy across lifegain enablers like Soul Sisters and pain lands ensures the engine consistently fires without needing specific nonland tutors. Midrange beatdown is augmented by life-drain payoffs like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Enduring Tenacity, alongside an incidental infinite life combo with Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Spike Feeder. Efficient 1-2 mana spot removal and board protection like Selfless Spirit and Heroic Intervention keep the engine safe. The deck steadily grinds out opponents and closes the game around Turn 7 through combat damage, life-drain bursts, or Aetherflux Reservoir.
